The Role

The Sr. Manager of Ecosystem & Impact will lead Stray's efforts to advance the regenerative finance field while developing and adapting systemic impact measurement and management (IMM) frameworks. This role is critical to helping Stray deliver on our promise to offer transformative capital to our portfolio, build narrative infrastructure in the finance ecosystem, and develop the field at large. This person will help us name and track what is measurable, offer interpretation and understanding in ambiguity, and bring a sense of mutualism to our ecosystem partners through it all.

Where IMM is typically siloed from ecosystem development and strategy, we see these capacities as integrated and mutually reinforcing for meaningful systems change. While we don’t expect to find someone who will join Stray with all of these skills fully formed, we do expect our newest team member will be a curious and resourceful learner—eager to find the right partners to help develop our team's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Field-Building & Ecosystem Development (50%)

• Document learnings and develop case studies, toolkits, and frameworks for public sharing
• Build partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, movement builders, and like-minded investors
• Manage and grow Stray's collaborator network through strategic relationship-building
• Design events and experiences fostering cross-sector collaboration
• Develop digital platforms and coaching programs for ecosystem operationalization

Impact Measurement & Framework Development (30%)

• Design Stray's proprietary framework for measuring systemic impact across economic transformation and narrative change
• Lead annual impact assessment and portfolio reporting
• Apply systems thinking frameworks (Multi-Level Perspective, Three Horizons, Iceberg Model) to identify narrative infrastructure gaps
• Translate research into practical tools for investors and entrepreneurs

Portfolio Impact Support (20%)

• Support investment diligence with regenerative impact and systems change analyses
• Facilitate strategic connections to amplify systemic impact
• Collaborate with portfolio organizations on regenerative frameworks and measurement

What We're Looking For*

Experience

• 4-7 years of experience in impact measurement, systems research, and/or ecosystem building roles
• Demonstrated experience developing tools, platforms, or educational resources for portfolio support
• Familiarity with common impact frameworks (IRIS+, SDGs, Project CRANE, etc.) and exposure to emergent impact measurement and management practices
• Strategic events design experience with a demonstrated impact on network growth and strength
