Senior Manager of Capital Projects (Multifamily)
Location: Long Beach, CA - Corporate Office + Regional Travel
Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000
Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Capital Projects oversees planning, execution, and delivery of major capital improvements across a multifamily portfolio. This role ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and municipal codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop long‑term capital expenditure plans and annual CapEx budgets
- Conduct physical asset condition assessments across residential properties
- Manage full lifecycle of renovation and construction projects
- Coordinate with maintenance managers, engineers, architects, and contractors
- Oversee job site activities, inspections, and OSHA compliance
- Administer RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Resolve field construction issues and ensure craftsmanship standards
- Secure permits, entitlements, and final sign‑offs with local agencies
- Track project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of multifamily construction or renovation experience
- Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Buildertrend)
- PMP, CCM, or General Contractor License preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and project‑management skills
