Responsibilities
- Directly oversee and lead the execution of the enterprise crisis management process during live incidents and events
- Drive rapid response, effective mitigation, and exercising sound judgment to escalat critical issues to senior leadership seamlessly
- Cultivate high-impact relationships and facilitate seamless collaboration across the enterprise with internal partners and technology teams
- Direct the development and maintenance of formal crisis processes and documentation
- Ensure rigorous adherence to internal policies, standards, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices
- Actively identify and implement innovative solutions to automate manual workflows
- Hold a high bar for the holistic delivery of the crisis management lifecycle
- Overseeing comprehensive planning efforts, robust training and exercise development, and rigorous post-incident reviews (AARs)
- Ensure the development, governance, and delivery of a comprehensive, long-term strategy for the enterprise mass notification system
- Leverage data, analytics, and operational metrics to provide clear, actionable reporting to senior leadership and executives regarding program health, incident trends, and risk mitigation efforts
- Act as the foremost Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise crisis management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience leading a risk function in emergency or crisis management program or a combination of both
- At least 7 years of experience in project, program, or process management
- At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal and external business clients
- At least 7 years of experience in executive-level consulting for strategy development
- 7+ years of experience in crisis management, business continuity, or a combination
- 5+ years of experience in financial services risk management
- Possess CBCP, CEM, or CRISC certification
- Experience with ISO 22301 principles
- Proven experience in fast-paced environments
- Experience leading cross-functional discussions across all seniority levels
- Proficiency in controls development, risk management, and reporting activities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in shifting priority environments
