Senior Manager, Direct Imports Planning

Lead planning and execution across Kroger’s direct import supply chain, connecting international sourcing with domestic distribution needs. This role will help optimize lead times, manage supply constraints and improve the flow of imported products across the network.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accountability: builds the direct import planning process end to end and leads the team as it scales
• Seasonal supply planning: builds the import forecast and supplier commitments with Merch and Sourcing, with proper lead times
• Order management: turns forecasts and buying plans into purchase orders at the right volume, timing, and SKU level
• Merch-to-supplier bridge: turns import category strategies into order flows and surfaces supply constraints
• DC allocation and item master: manages supply allocation across the DC network for imported goods
• Performance ownership: owns import fill rate and on-time, tracks forecast variance, and leads improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in supply chain planning or import order management in a retail or food distribution environment
• International PO flow experience including supplier lead times, incoterms, and cross-border xhqgsiq documentation
• Strong analytical skills with ability to build seasonal supply plans and manage forecast variance
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sourcing, Category Managers, and Logistics teams
• Experience planning and ordering at a food retailer or grocer, with experience in imports a strong plus
• Experience at a food importer, purchasing directly from suppliers on behalf of customers
