Reporting to the Head of Finance, this individual will be responsible for preparing SEC filings, supporting technical accounting matters, and helping establish scalable reporting and compliance processes appropriate for a public company environment. The role offers meaningful exposure to executive leadership, opportunities for professional growth, and the ability to make a significant impact on the organization's future success.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and coordinate SEC filings, including Forms S-1, 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and related disclosures and supporting schedulesDraft and review footnote disclosures and MD&A in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirementsSupport IPO readiness activities, including implementation of disclosure controls and SOX compliance processesPartner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, HR, Clinical Operations, and external auditors/advisors to gather and validate information for filingsResearch technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memorandaCoordinate reporting timelines and ensure timely and accurate filingsSupport quarterly and annual close activities related to external reportingAssist with equity accounting and stock compensation reportingMonitor new accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations and assess their impact on the companyDrive process improvements and help build scalable reporting infrastructure as the organization growsPersonal Attributes:Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindsetComfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentCollaborative team player with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentQualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeActive CPA license requiredMinimum 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experienceBig 4 public accounting experienceClinical-stage biotechnology or life sciences industry experienceStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently and drive projects to completion with minimal supervisionExcellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesPreferred:Master's degreeExperience supporting IPO readiness and/or operating in a pre-public or newly public company environmentAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting systemsSalary Range: $157,000.00 - $230,000.00 USDThis range reflects the expected base salary for this position, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.
