Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Oversee vendor qualification procedures, onboarding processes, and contract negotiation
- Drive high-level vendor management strategies
- Manage product schedules, budgets, and objectives
- Analyze business and financial results
- Evaluate vendor services and products
- Develop and implement action plans based on analysis
- Conduct regular audits
- Resolve conflicts or issues promptly
- Guide and implement innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives
- Review and approve vendor invoices
- Train and mentor team members
- Serve as the initial point of contact for new and existing vendors
- Generate and execute innovative ideas to improve vendor relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or educational experience in related field preferred, or relevant work experience
- 10+ relevant experience4+ leadership
- Extensive experience in asset recovery, impounds, or vehicle remarketing
- Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives that improve recovery rates, reduce operational costs, and optimize the remarketing of repossessed vehicles
- Deep knowledge of relevant industry regulations, laws, and best practices related to vehicle impounding and remarketing
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent vendor management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage large-scale operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and asset management or remarketing software
