Senior Machine OperatorFlorence, KYCompensation IncludesStarting pay rate $24.14/hourOverviewEnsure machine is operating at required speed, producing quality product with minimal waste. Will change paper, glues, inks, as well as unjam machines as necessary. Will assist Adjuster Supervisor with training and retraining of Bag Catchers, Collator Tenders and Machine Tenders.ResponsibilitiesContinuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures.

Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazardsUtilize lockout/tagout as required, following established policy; ensure guarding is in place at all timesKeep work area clean and organized, per standardsEnsure that bags and print are being produced according to our quality requirements and specificationsFollow all applicable food service policies and proceduresFollow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as requiredMake sure machinery is running properly and safely, meeting all production goals set by managementGuide employees in working areaAdjust and make sure machines are repaired as instructed by Adjuster SupervisorSet up one, two, three or four color printsChange rolls and thread machinery as neededStart machineryMake grocery print changes and merchandise complete print and size changes as neededMust be able to legibly fill out all reportsCatch bags on a relief basis, and/or as determined by managementMust be able to assist in training and retraining of new employees, and Bag Catchers, Collator Tenders and Machine TendersMake sure all waste is kept to a minimum and meets standards set forth by managementMeet/achieve safety, quality, production, waste and housekeeping goals set forth by managementQualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is neededThree to five years of factory experience is preferred, or six months to one year experience as a Bag Catcher or Machine TenderMust pass Bennett Mechanical TestMust have basic reading, math and communication skillsMust have ability to make adjustments and minor repairs, with good working knowledge of machineryMust be able to correctly read a ruler and use various hand tools/industrial equipmentPhysical RequirementsLifting; a minimum of 50 lbs.Carrying; a minimum of 50 lbs.Pulling; 2 hoursPushing; 2 hoursReaching above shoulderUse of fingersWalking; 12 hours, excluding breaksStanding; 12 hours, excluding breaksKneeling; 2 hoursBending; 2 hoursClimbing; 2 hoursVisual abilityDepth perceptionAbility to distinguish colorHearing ability#INDQSRCompany BenefitsBenefitsWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
