This will include operating packaging lines, handling material movements within plant, and working to complete production schedules. Additionally, will coordinate production schedule, generate process orders, and complete paperwork.How You'll Make an Impact:Operate with a safety-first mindset while leading your teamFollow all SOPsCoordinate weekly Gemba meetings and communicate priorities with managementProcess paperwork in SAP and on production scheduleEnsure all quality standards are met (checking first piece on inbound packaging components, some in process testing of materials, and communication with lab team)Operate equipment up to efficiency standards (depalletizes, case conveyers, case packers, fillers, carton erecters, palletizers, wrappers, etc.)Performing routine preventative maintenance and inspections on packaging equipment and or PITsMaintain 5S standards (continuous cleaning of area while plant is operating)Coordinate shift hand offsCommunication with maintenance teamMaintain cross training on multiple pieces of equipmentRemaining up to date with safety, LMS, and ISO trainingsManual operations may include putting corrugated board on packaging lines, handling bottles or cases, pouch/bags and cleaning of equipmentEmployees will be trained and must utilize machine safety standards that will include control of hazardous energy, LOTO, and fortress keysEmployees will be required to be engaged in additional safety programs which include but are not limited to PPE, ergonomics, PIT, and safety/environmental programsWhat You'll Need:HS diploma or GED equivalentExperience in industrial manufacturing.
