We're partnering with a well-funded AI company in New York that's expanding into robotics. They're building models that help machines understand and act in the physical world. Their robotics team is small and growing.
The role
You'll join the robotics team early and help turn research into working systems. You'll train models that connect what a robot sees to what it does. This role suits someone who wants startup ownership with the backing of an established team.
What you'll do
- Train models that link perception, language and robot actions
- Build data pipelines for robot and video data
- Test models in simulation and on real robots
- Work with researchers to move new ideas into real systems
- Help shape how the robotics team works as it grows
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of ML engineering experience
- Strong Python and PyTorch
- Experience xzgxqkn with robotics, computer vision or multimodal models
- Experience training models at scale on GPUs
- Clear communication and comfort working across teams
Nice to have
- Experience with vision-language-action models or world models
- Simulation experience (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo)
- A research background in robot learning
