Senior Living Placement Advisor (1099 Contract, Commission)

Charlotte, NC • Posted Yesterday
Remote Contract Hospitals and Health Care

If you've worked as a discharge planner, hospital or rehab social worker, or senior placement advisor, you already know which communities deliver good care and how to guide a family through a crisis. This role pays you for that knowledge on every placement.

About Us

Assisted Living Locators of Charlotte helps families find the right assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities. Our service is free to families. Senior living communities pay a referral fee when a resident moves in. We are part of a national senior living advisory brand and locally owned and operated in Charlotte.

The Role

As a Senior Living Placement Advisor, you guide families from first conversation to move-in. You meet with families, assess care needs and budget, recommend communities that fit, tour with them, and support them through the transition.

You also build and maintain relationships with hospitals, rehab centers, physicians, home health agencies, and other healthcare professionals across the Charlotte area. You set your own schedule and decide how you develop your referral network. We periodically share leads with our advisors.

Compensation and Contract Terms

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. It is commission only. There is no salary or hourly pay.

You earn a commission when a family you place moves in. Commission starts around $2,700 per placement and is higher for higher levels of care.

Plan on about 3 months before your first commission is paid while you build referral relationships and your first families move through the process. If you need income in the next 60 days, this role is not the right fit.

Location

On-site in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas, including Ballantyne, SouthPark, Huntersville, Matthews, Pineville, Monroe, and Union County. This is not a remote position. You meet families and tour communities in person.

Required Qualifications

Business development, sales, or relationship-building experience, ideally in senior living, healthcare, or care management.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Senior Placement Advisor or Senior Living Advisor.

Background as a discharge planner, case manager, or social worker in a hospital or rehab center.

Existing relationships with Charlotte-area healthcare professionals.

Working knowledge of levels of care, including assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing.

Who Thrives Here

A self-starter who manages their own pipeline without hand-holding.

An empathetic communicator who can walk a family through an emotional, complicated decision.

Someone who wants purposeful work and control over how they do it.

What You Get

Control of your own schedule and client relationships.

Commission on every placement you complete.

Periodic leads.

The backing of a national brand with a local owner who knows this market.

A Note for Current Healthcare Employees

If you currently work for a hospital, rehab center, or other healthcare provider, we will review conflict-of-interest and referral rules with you beforehand.

Assisted Living Locators of Charlotte is an equal opportunity company. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds.
