Senior Litigation ParalegalDirect Counsel is partnering with a highly respected litigation firm to identify an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join its team.This is a lead-level, hands-on role ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is comfortable managing cases from inception through trial while mentoring junior staff.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a high-volume caseload across all phases of litigation, including trialProvide guidance and oversight to junior litigation assistants and secretariesCoordinate and manage discovery, including reviewing responses and identifying issuesAssist with expert identification, retention, and coordinationReview medical records and support expert evaluationsDrive trial preparation, including drafting pleadings and attending trial as neededMaintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and attorneysQualifications10+ years of litigation experienceBackground in personal injury and/or environmental law strongly preferredStrong knowledge of California civil procedure and court rulesExperience with filings in state, federal, and appellate courts preferredTrial experience is a plusExcellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlinesTyping speed of 70+ WPMSpanish language skills are a plusCompensation & BenefitsPay Range: $45–$60/hour (DOE)401(k) + Annual Profit SharingComprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceLife & supplemental insuranceGenerous PTO + sick time8 paid holidays annually
