Duties
- Independently manage all phases of defense from case inception through resolution.
- Draft and respond to written discovery, conduct legal research, and prepare pleadings and motions.
- Take and defend depositions, represent clients in court, and assist with trial preparation.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
- Extensive experience with case management, discovery, and motion practice.
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Trial experience preferred but not required.
Education
