Senior Litigation Associate

My client is hiring for their LA and OC office. This position is hybrid requiring at least 2 days per week in-office.

Candidates must have substantial California litigation experience and be licensed to practice law in California.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation matters, including case strategy, discovery, and day-to-day case management.
• Draft substantive motions, briefs, memoranda, and other filings in California state and federal courts.
• Take and defend depositions and support arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation efforts.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies for complex business disputes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while managing matters independently.

Qualifications / Nice to Have

Must Have

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 5+ years of commercial, business, or complex civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated California litigation experience, including practice in California state courts.
• Experience handling discovery, motion practice, legal research, and depositions.
• Experience appearing in state and/or federal court proceedings.

Nice to Have

• Experience with arbitration and mediation proceedings.
• Exposure to business disputes involving professional liability, construction, real estate, insurance, or related areas.
• Experience independently managing significant case responsibilities and litigation strategy.
