Responsibilities :
- Experience with all phases of commercial litigation
- Conducting factual investigations and discovery
- Preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients
- Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters pending in state and federal courts
- Experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial issues
- Must have taken at least 5+ depositions with being a lead on them
Candidate requirements :
- Minimum 3 years of Commercial Litigation experience ideally across a broad spectrum of commercial disciplines e.g. health law, antitrust and privacy, finance/banking, consumer fraud, insurance coverage, product/premises liability etc.
- Strong experience across investigations and discovery, pleadings, depositions, arguing motions and client communication
- Excellent academic credentials
- The ability to effectively handle multiple projects and articulate legal strategies
- Proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial
- Portable Book of Business would be ideal but not a necessity
