Our client, a well-established large law firm in Chicago, is seeking a talented Senior Litigation Attorney with at least 7+ years of experience to join their practice. This role will focus primarily on representing school districts, community colleges, municipalities and other public entities in litigating public sector liability claims and defending civil rights, employment and tort claims.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of difficult and complex legal work and operate with substantial discretion
- Research and analyze the law on complex issues
- Synthesize legal research and analysis into a coherent written memorandum or brief for submission to a client, court or arbitrator
- Analyze and summarize complicated legal documents, including contracts, and suggest alterations to those documents
- Perform discovery of various electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation
- Negotiate with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes, including settlement conferences
- Take and defend depositions
Compensation
- Base salary: $200,000 - $280,000
- Strong Annual bonus

- Flexible Hybrid WFH schedule: (3 days WFH per week)
