We're partnering with an established quantitative trading firm seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to help build, automate, and support its large-scale production infrastructure.
The team manages thousands of Linux servers supporting critical trading systems, research environments, and internal engineering platforms. You'll work on complex infrastructure challenges involving Linux performance, automation, provisioning, and reliability across a global environment.
What you'll do:
- Engineer, maintain, and optimize large-scale Linux infrastructure across on-premises and bare-metal environments
- Develop Python and Bash automation to streamline infrastructure operations and reduce manual processes
- Build and improve server provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows
- Troubleshoot complex Linux systems, networking, and performance issues in production
- Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting to strengthen infrastructure reliability
- Work with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar technologies
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve infrastructure performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives
Looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in Linux Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field
- Deep hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise Linux environments
- Experience supporting large-scale on-premises or bare-metal infrastructure
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills for infrastructure automation
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar
- Solid understanding of Linux networking, system performance, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and infrastructure deployment processes
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex production issues and drive improvements
