To ensure optimized and secure hosting platforms, the full-time Senior Linux Engineer will act as the final escalation point for complex server issues, manage Linux-based environments, and develop automation scripts while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Act as the final escalation point for diagnosing and resolving critical system failures and performance issues Manage and optimize Linux-based hosting environments and administer web servers and databases Develop and maintain automation scripts for server provisioning and utilize tools for infrastructure automation Required qualifications: 11+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience in a web hosting or cloud environment 7+ years of experience in a Senior position or Level 3 Engineer role Expert knowledge of KVM and Libvirt with a minimum of 7+ years of experience Strong scripting ability in Perl, Bash, and Python Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
