The City of El Segundo is seeking a part-time, non-benefited, experienced, and dependable Senior Lifeguard to help ensure the safety and well-being of patrons at City aquatic facilities. We are looking for candidates with strong lifeguarding experience, leadership skills, and a commitment to providing a safe and positive aquatic experience for the community. Available Schedule: Monday - Friday: 10:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. Weekends: 10:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Apply now to be part of the first review! This is a seasonal, part-time, non-benefitted, at-will position exempt from the classified service. Provides safety and protection to pool patrons by explaining and enforcing rules to prevent accidents, and when required, makes rescues and performs emergency care, oversees other part-time Aquatics staff and performs basic pool and facility maintenance and administrative functions. The Senior Lifeguard is required to work day and evening hours including weekends. Supervision Received and Exercised: Receives direct supervision from the Aquatics Manager, Aquatics Recreation Supervisor, or Aquatics Recreation Coordinator. Provides functional and technical direction to Lifeguards and Swim Instructors.
