- Translate complex legal workflows, business pain points, and client goals into intelligent solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- Design and implement AI‑powered solutions for legal workflows such as contract review, litigation support, discovery automation, and regulatory analysis.
- Partner with deployed engineers to build and test RAG pipelines, custom AI agents, and multi‑step workflows that leverage CoCounsel, Westlaw, Practical Law, and related enterprise systems.
- Lead LLM evaluation efforts for legal use cases, including benchmarking output quality, assessing hallucination risk, testing citation quality, and validating fitness for high‑stakes legal work.
- Ensure deployed solutions meet ethical AI, data protection, and enterprise security standards while maintaining the trust legal professionals expect.
- Contribute reusable solution assets and evaluate emerging AI techniques to improve quality and delivery across the team.
About you
- JD, formal legal training, or equivalent depth of experience working within a legal practice environment.
- Fluency in legal terminology and demonstrated experience working directly with lawyers, legal teams, or legal operations stakeholders.
- Software engineering experience, including experience focused on AI/ML or LLM‑powered applications.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, LLM evaluation methodologies, prompt engineering, and AI system design for domain‐specific workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working independently in ambiguous, client‑facing settings with both legal and technical stakeholders.
