This role owns technical direction for complex systems, including WPF-based applications and services backed by MongoDB, while actively leveraging AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity, quality, and consistency.The role operates with significant autonomy, influences architecture and engineering standards, and serves as a technical leader and mentor across the team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of complex applications using C#,.NET /.NET Core, and WPFOwn and evolve WPF UI architecture, including MVVM patterns, performance optimization, and maintainabilityDesign and implement backend services and APIs, integrating with MongoDB and other data storesMake and influence architecture decisions across application layers (UI, services, data)Apply AI-assisted development techniques (code generation, refactoring, test automation, documentation) to increase engineering efficiencyEstablish and enforce engineering standards, design patterns, and best practicesLead code reviews with a focus on scalability, security, performance, and long-term supportabilityPartner with architects, product owners, and senior stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutionsDrive resolution of high-impact, complex technical issuesMentor engineers and provide technical guidance across initiativesRequired Qualifications7+ years of professional software engineering experienceAdvanced expertise in C#,.NET / .NET CoreStrong hands-on experience with WPF, including MVVM, data binding, and desktop UI architectureExperience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applicationsProven experience working with MongoDB (schema design, performance considerations, integration patterns)Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and secure coding practicesDemonstrated use of AI tools to enhance software development productivityAbility to influence technical direction beyond individual assignmentsDesired QualificationsAzure cloud experienceExperience modernizing large or legacy.
