- Develop Android client code solutions aligned with Product Strategy and engineering best practices
- Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high-performing customer experiences
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure team commitments are delivered on time and with high quality
- Advocate for the mobile platform through internal and external developer communities
- Continue learning mobile technologies including Kotlin, Swift, and third-party libraries
- Influence group discussions and incorporate broader team feedback
- Mentor junior- to mid-level team members
- Engage with developers across Android, iOS, APIs, Web, and other disciplines
- Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs with Senior Engineers and Architects
- Share best practices and improve processes across sprint teams
- Identify technical obstacles and develop creative solutions with the team
- Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms
- Provide SME-level leadership while leading technical development for a mobile development team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply
- At least 4 years of experience building Android applications
- At least 3 years of experience with Kotlin
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience building Android applications preferred
- 4+ years of experience with Kotlin preferred
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks preferred
- 2+ years of experience with Agile practices preferred
- 1+ years of people management experience preferred
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion preferred
