K2 Automation Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled K2 Automation Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is dedicated to designing and optimizing enterprise-level workflows within a secure, US-based remote environment. The specialist will manage the full lifecycle of business process automation, from legacy migrations to high-level production support.
Contract Details
- Location: 100% US Remote (Strictly Geo‑fenced; VPN usage is prohibited)
- Employment Type: Contract (3–5 months, with potential for extension)
- Work Schedule: Part‑time (20–40 hours per month), offering flexible scheduling
- Compensation: Competitive; aligned with prior face‑to‑face negotiations
- Workflow Architecture: Architect and manage sophisticated workflows utilizing K2 Five, K2 Blackpearl, and K2 Cloud
- Full‑Stack K2 Development: Build and refine SmartObjects, SmartForms, and SmartStarters to meet complex business requirements
- System Integration: Streamline enterprise processes by integrating K2 solutions with SharePoint (Online & On‑Prem), SQL Server, and various external APIs via Service Brokers
- Legacy Migration: Lead the transition of automated processes from older Nintex or K2 environments to modern K2 Five/Cloud platforms
- Data Management: Author and fine‑tune SQL stored procedures, views, and complex queries for backend efficiency
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee deployment cycles across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD environments, ensuring seamless transitions
- Support & Documentation: Act as a tier‑2/3 technical escalation point for production issues and maintain comprehensive technical guides and process maps
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with BAs, PMs, and client leadership to translate business needs into technical reality
Must‑Have Qualifications
- Experience: 6 to 10+ years of dedicated expertise in K2 Automation
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in K2 Five/Cloud, SharePoint ecosystems, and SQL Server
- Communication: Fluent English with a proven track record of supporting US‑based clientele
- Self‑Management: Proven ability to deliver high‑quality results independently within US time zones
Preferred “Plus” Skills
- Development experience in .NET / C#
- Front‑end customization using JavaScript
- Familiarity with Power Automate for broader ecosystem integration
