JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer with strong expertise in MuleSoft and Java development to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions. This role focuses on building and managing APIs using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, while also developing robust Java-based applications and microservices.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with API-led connectivity, data transformation using DataWeave, and integration patterns across distributed systems. Additionally, this role requires a solid understanding of API governance, security best practices (OAuth, JWT), and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and optimized integration solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Integration Development:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy APIs and integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, Design Center).
  • Implement complex data transformations, routing, and orchestration logic using DataWeave, Mule Expressions, and custom Java components within Mule flows.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and other integration patterns.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance custom Java applications, modules, and utilities that integrate with MuleSoft services or serve as standalone microservices.
  • Utilize Java best practices, design patterns, and frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot) to build high-performance, scalable, and secure applications.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing for both MuleSoft and Java components.

API Management & Governance:

  • Implement API security best practices (OAuth, JWT, API Key management) within MuleSoft.
  • Contribute to API design standards, governance, and documentation, publishing APIs to Anypoint Exchange.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Strong proficiency in Java development, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and common Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles, SOAP web services, and API security concepts (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
  • Experience with DataWeave for complex data transformations.
  • Familiarity with various integration patterns (pub/sub, request/reply, aggregator, scatter-gather).
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, both written and verbal.
