Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Cincinnati, OH - Onsite
Payrate: $65/hr on W2
Responsibilities
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java/Vue code.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Write reusable Java libraries.
- Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests (TDD).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
- 5–7 years’ experience in a team environment.
- Proficient in Java, with good knowledge of insurance a plus.
- Experience with paired programming.
- JavaScript.
- Proficient with Vue.
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
- Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java.
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful.
- Experience with both external and embedded databases.
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
- Basic understanding of the class loading mechanism in Java.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.
- Familiarity with CI/CD.
- Experience with Mockito is a plus.
