A financial services organization is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a fully remote opportunity. This role focuses on designing and developing scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices within a large enterprise environment.

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and support APIs, system integrations, and service-to-service communication across enterprise platforms
- Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions in containerized environments
- Work with Azure cloud databases and support application data model design
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot application, integration, and deployment issues
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on backend Java development expertise.
- Strong experience developing microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, API design, system integrations, and service-to-service communication
- Hands-on cloud experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in container environments such as AKS or ACA
- Experience working with cloud databases and designing application data models
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for microservices
- Understanding of secure application development, including authentication, authorization, security principals, and token-based security
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor with experience working within large enterprise organizations
- Experience with MuleSoft or similar enterprise API and integration technologies.
