Job Summary:

The Senior Java Developer/Lead Java Developer will design, develop, and support web applications and microservices in cloud environments (Azure, GCP). This role requires expertise in server-side programming, cloud technologies, and modern web development frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in Agile methodologies, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, and related technologies.
  • Utilize cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP for deploying and supporting applications.
  • Integrate web applications with other systems as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Follow Agile development practices including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies.
  • Identify potential issues in application performance, architecture, or implementation and propose effective solutions.
  • Maintain documentation for software design, configuration, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure code quality, security, and scalability across all software applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years designing, developing, programming, and supporting software applications.
  • 8+ years of experience in server-side programming, including Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, JS, NodeJS, XML, and MS SQL Server.
  • Solid understanding of web application development, cloud technologies (Azure and GCP), and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean).
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to propose solutions independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience integrating web applications with other systems.
  • Prior work experience in large retail, healthcare, or pharmacy industries.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment best practices.
