We are looking for an experienced Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 to support the Texas Department of Public Safety . This role is ideal for senior Java developers with strong SQL and Linux expertise who have worked on large enterprise applications.
Required Skills
- 15+ years of Java development experience
- 10+ years of SQL database experience
- 8+ years supporting and developing large enterprise applications in a team environment
- 5+ years of Linux experience
Preferred Skills
- Atlassian Suite (JIRA)
- Experience with State of Texas applications or Texas DPS environment
- Experience transitioning legacy mainframe applications to Java/SQL
Key Responsibilities
- Lead application development, coding, testing, and debugging
- Develop and optimize Java applications and SQL databases
- Troubleshoot application and system issues
- Improve system performance and ensure business continuity
- Coordinate development activities and mentor team members
