Senior Java Backend / Microservices Engineer
Contract duration: 3+Months Contract (W2 Only)
Location: Remote Job (USA)
East coast candidate preferred. Overall 10 years of experience is required. Must have strong hands-on experience building scalable backend services, REST APIs, Kafka-based event processing, batch applications, document/file processing solutions, and cloud integrations.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend / Microservices Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications built using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, event-driven architecture, and AWS.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience building scalable backend services, REST APIs, Kafka-based event processing, batch applications, document/file processing solutions, and cloud integrations. Experience working with healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other enterprise applications involving sensitive data is preferred.
Document Processing
- PDF generation and processing
- iText / PDFBox or similar PDF libraries
- Large-volume document and file processing
Experience
- 6+ years of software development experience , with strong hands-on Java backend development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot and microservices .
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or another enterprise messaging/event-streaming platform .
- Experience developing and supporting production-grade enterprise applications.
