Senior Java & Hive Engineer at BairesDev
As a Senior Java & Hive Engineer, you will design and build high-performance distributed query engine components to power large-scale data processing. You will drive architectural improvements and optimize system scalability, ensuring our data platform executes complex queries with maximum efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development of distributed query engine components to support massive data workloads.
- Optimize SQL query processing and execution plans to minimize latency and resource consumption.
- Implement deep performance enhancements within database internals and distributed systems.
- Drive architectural standards for scalability, reliability, and technical alignment across engineering teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical excellence and best practices in distributed computing.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Database Development, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in Java and Apache Hive.
- Strong hands-on experience with database internals, SQL query processing, and query optimization using Apache Calcite.
- Demonstrated experience designing distributed query engine components and driving architectural improvements.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
