Senior IT Project ManagerLocation: New York, NY Work Arrangement: Hybrid – three days onsite per week (non-negotiable) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Employment Type: Six-month contract Start Date: As soon as possiblePosition OverviewThe Senior IT Project Manager will lead enterprise technology projects throughout the complete project lifecycle, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to established quality standards. This is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring someone who can quickly become self-sufficient, independently lead meetings, and proactively collaborate with global stakeholders and senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resource requirements.Lead projects through planning, execution, monitoring, delivery, and closure.Manage multiple project activities to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and according to quality expectations.Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders across North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.Build and maintain relationships with project sponsors, senior leaders, core team members, and extended project teams.Lead project meetings independently and ensure decisions, action items, and responsibilities are clearly documented.Provide clear updates regarding project progress, milestones, budgets, risks, and issues.Manage project resources to ensure they are used effectively and efficiently.Monitor deliverables and ensure project processes and quality standards are consistently followed.Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or budget, including documentation and approval requirements.Maintain accurate project plans, status reports, financial information, and supporting documentation within Planview.Ensure project deliverables are completed and projects are closed in a timely and organized manner.Work independently while providing guidance and support to project team members as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree required.Five to ten years of IT project management experience.Experience managing at least five complete project lifecycles, preferably within a global or multinational organization.Experience working with global teams and stakeholders across multiple regions.Working knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Experience using Planview or a comparable project planning and portfolio management tool.Experience managing financial systems projects preferred.Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite or SAP is highly preferred.Experience communicating and presenting to C-level executives and senior stakeholders.PMP certification is preferred but not required.Skills and AttributesAbility to quickly become self-sufficient and manage projects with limited oversight.Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of project activities.Strong leadership and meeting facilitation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Strong stakeholder and relationship-management skills.Effective time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.Ability to identify problems, evaluate potential solutions, and make informed decisions.Strong risk, change, resource, and budget-management capabilities.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment.Interview ProcessFirst interview conducted in person.Second interview conducted virtually or by phone.
