Mission Objectives
Ensure complete cybersecurity compliance and authorization for assigned complex systems while mentoring junior practitioners.
Position Responsibility Summary
Manage a Tier 1 system portfolio involving complex baselines and shared-responsibility environments, operating independently cradle-to-grave, while overseeing the deliverable execution of Intermediate ISSOs.
Specific Responsibilities
- Responsibility 1: Own and manage a Tier 1 system portfolio, performing all necessary RMF lifecycle steps from categorization through continuous monitoring.
- Responsibility 2: Conduct vulnerability scanning analysis, POA&M remediation, and security impact analyses.
- Responsibility 3: Review deliverables produced by Intermediate ISSOs to ensure they meet the Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs) before submission.
- Responsibility 4: Maintain active compliance in CSAM and continuously report system status to the Lead Senior ISSO.
Position Requirements
Minimum Required Qualification: (These qualifications are mandatory for consideration)
- Experience: 8+ years of federal/DoD cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years performing ISSO or cybersecurity operations duties. Experience leading RMF packages through ATO.
- Education and Credentials: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); Must hold at least one of the following: CISSP, CISM, or CASP.
Optional/Value-added qualifications
(These qualifications are desirable but not required)
- Optional/Value-added Experience: Strong working knowledge of CSAM, ServiceNow, and Splunk.
- Optional/Value-added Additional Credentials: Additional technical certifications (e.g., CEH, AWS Security).
