You will join a small, expert team with big ambitions, directly shaping a product that blends on-device artificial intelligence, aviation expertise, peripheral integration, and seamless mobile user experience.What You'll Do:Architect, develop, and maintain core iOS application features in Swift with an emphasis on performance, stability, and usabilityDeploy and optimize on-device machine learning models (via MLX and CoreML) for real-time intelligenceIntegrate and visualize mapping, live weather feeds, sensor data, and other aviation inputsEnsure the app operates reliably offlineCoordinate closely with product, design, and AI teams to translate concepts, research, and requirements into flight-ready featuresUphold industry best practices for testing, accessibility, code quality, and complianceOwn the App Store release process, including provisioning, profiling, and ongoing support/analyticsContribute to technical roadmaps, peer code reviews, and iterative feature deliveryHelp shape a dynamic, fast-moving engineering culture where shipping mattersWhat You Need: The unique technical challenges of this role mean we seek developers with both iOS mastery and experience building high-performance, data-driven iOS apps.Degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years of professional iOS development experienceFluency in Swift and familiarity with modern UIKit/SwiftUI architecturesTrack record of shipping and supporting apps on the Apple App StoreExperience deploying on-device machine learning with Core ML, MLX, or similar frameworksFamiliarity with mapping technologiesStrong testing, debugging, and optimization skills for mission-critical appsExperience in developing offline first appsBonus Qualifications:Background or hands-on experience in aviation, navigation, or weather-related applicationsExperience with 3D graphics, Metal, OpenGL or other advanced graphics technologiesUnderstanding of aviation data formats, regulations, or EFB use casesExperience in small, agile teams and product development cyclesAt Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
