Senior Interior Designer – Truckee, CA

Location: Truckee, CA (in office, full-time) Compensation: $125,000 – $165,000 annually, based on experience

We are an established, full-service interior design firm with more than two decades of experience serving clients in Northern California and beyond. Our work spans large-scale remodels, ground-up construction, single-room refreshes, and furniture selection. For every project, we build a detailed road map that keeps the process manageable without leaving a single detail to chance. We work closely with clients, architects, and builders to deliver projects of every size on time and on budget.

The Role

The Senior Interior Designer will produce high-quality design work alongside the Principal, support firm-wide initiatives, and help manage and nurture client relationships. You will balance multiple projects and deadlines at once, working both independently and as part of a team. You are a confident collaborator with colleagues in the studio and with external partners, clients, and consultants.

What You'll Do

• Lead multiple design projects at once through conceptual design, space planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation, meeting deadlines and client expectations.
• Support the production of drawings and manage drafting from concept through construction documents.
• Bring knowledge of bid sets, the permit process, and local codes (preferred).
• Partner with the Principal to lead the selection of hard finishes, FF&E, and presentation materials for client meetings.
• Run client meetings from concept through job site visits and installation.
• Manage schedules and budgets across multiple projects, including projected and actual time per design phase.
• Build and maintain relationships with external consultants, vendors, reps, and fabricators.

Location and Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-person role based in our Truckee, California studio. Candidates must live within a reasonable daily commuting distance of Truckee or be willing to relocate before their start date. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $165,000 per year. Final pay is based on experience, skills, and portfolio.
