Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems EngineerLocation - DeBary, FLJob Type – HybridWe are seeking a Senior ITS / Traffic Engineer for our Traffic Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) group. The successful candidate will enjoy developing close client and staff relationships, provide creative approaches to project development, maintain stewardship responsibility during project execution, and a personal dedication to serving client needs.What You Will Be Doing:Serve, as required, as the Project Manager, Project Lead, or Task Lead in the development of traffic studies and design plans including ITS infrastructure, traffic signal, roadway lighting, signing, pavement marking, construction sequencing, and traffic control plans.Assist with major project pursuits, new business development, and local client relationships. Identify potential projects and develop strategies to win these projects.Build and maintain relationships with key traffic engineering & ITS clients.Participate in the local ITE section and increase Stanley Consultants' exposure/presence in the local traffic engineering community.Provide technical assistance and quality control oversight on traffic engineering studies and design projects managed by other project managers and task leads.Provide traffic engineering support to the local and national ITS practice area.Serve as the local office expert in their specific area(s) of expertise.Assist other offices with major project pursuits, new business development, and local client relationships.Required Qualifications:Requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; Master of Science in Civil Engineering preferred, but not requiredRequires at least 10+ years of relevant experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)A Florida Professional Engineer license is requiredPTOE certification is preferred, but not requiredProficiency with SYNCHRO, HCS, and other traffic capacity and analysis softwareA working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, VISSIM, CORSIM, or other advanced software packages preferredThe position also requires experience in most of the following areas:Traffic Signal Design and OperationITS Infrastructure Planning and DesignRoadway Lighting Design and StudiesSigning and Pavement Marking Design and OperationConstruction Sequencing and Traffic Control Design and OperationTraffic Impact StudiesCapacity Software and Level of Service AnalysisDesign Concept Reports, Corridor Studies, and Preliminary Traffic ReportsSafety Studies and Intersection Improvement StudiesEvaluation of Alternative Design ConceptsPreparation of Traffic & Safety Engineering Plans, Specifications, and EstimatesTransportation PlanningWork-Life BalanceWe realize there's more to life than just work.
