Job Profile Summary
- The Senior, Inpatient Case Manager RN, assumes responsibility, accountability and leadership for the daily operations including coordination of work, quality, and service for inpatient case management.
- Assist supervisor for assigned site/function.
- Participates in the work activities of assigned teams and provides case management services as needed.
- Maintains fiscal accountability for departmental activities.
- Provides feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel.
- Functions in one of the following practice settings: Hospitals only
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) REQUIRED
Certification/Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) in VA or NC or Compact/Multi-state REQUIRED
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- Case Management (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC, or CMGT-BC) certification is required within one year of eligibility.
Experience
- 3 years nursing experience REQUIRED, preferred in Acute Care setting
- 3 years Case Management experience preferred
