Senior Infrastructure Administrator – onsite

TheSeniorInfrastructureAdministratorisresponsiblefortheadministration,maintenance,andsecurityofallinfrastructureat the client. This role serves as a key technical leader within a lean IT team, ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of systems supporting employees. They will be the point person to action requests escalated bytheHelpDesk.

TheSr.InfrastructureAdministratorprovidesservicesforavarietyofsystemsinclusiveof,butnotlimitedto,ActiveDirectory,fileandprint,endpointsecurity/management,backup/recovery,andbusinessapplications.ThispositionworkswiththeITteamtoimplementcorporateinfrastructureandrecommendimprovementstoexistingsystemsandprocesses.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Inadditiontooperationalresponsibilities,thisrolepartnerswithITleadershiptodesignandimplementinfrastructuresolutions,drivemodernizationefforts,andrecommendimprovementstosystems, processes, and security posture. Theposition requires a proactive approach to system reliability,capacityplanning, automation, and continuous improvement acrosstheenvironment.
• Performsupport,maintenanceandadministrationforWindowsClient/Serverenvironments
• WorkwithinActiveDirectorytomanageuseraccessandensureproper applicationofgrouppolicyobjects
• Monitorserverinfrastructureandexecutedefinedactionstopreventorminimizeoutages/downtime
• Workwithsecurityvendortoensureallticketsareaddressedina timely manner
• Workwithvendorstosupportandmaintainvariousinfrastructure appliances andwebhostedsolutions
• Provideconfiguration,maintenanceandsupportforcompanyVoIP solution
• Actsasfirstpointofcontactforserver-related questions posed by end users and otherserviceproviderteams
• Actionrequestsandescalatetoappropriateserviceprovider(s)if resolution exceedsauthorityorcapabilities
• Deployandmaintainapplicationdeploymentpackagesforenduser computers andcompanymobiledevices
• Removeretiredsystemsfromtheenvironmentandsafelydisposeof the equipment(ensuredatadestruction)
• Trainusersonpropersystemuse,withvariouslevelsofexpertisein attendance
• Createandmaintaindocumentationwithup-to-date changes to current systems
• MentorHelpDeskstaffonrecurringescalatedissues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’sdegreeinInformationTechnologyorrelatedfield,or equivalent experienceonenterpriseITsupportteams
• 7plusyearsofadministrationininfrastructureenvironments
• StrongexperiencewithActiveDirectory,GroupPolicy,andidentity management (on-premand/orEntraID)
• Hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments, including patching,performance,andlifecyclemanagement
• ExperiencewithvirtualizationplatformsincludingVMware,vSphere, ESXi, andVNXe
• Experiencewithendpointmanagementplatformsandendpoint security tools
• Experiencewithbackup,disasterrecoveryplanning,andbusiness continuity practices
• Demonstratedexperiencesupportingandtroubleshootingcomplex infrastructure issuesinaproductionenvironment
• Strongunderstandingofinfrastructuresecurityprinciples,includingaccesscontrol,systemhardening,andvulnerabilityremediation
• Experiencewithautomationandscripting(PowerShell,IaC–Terraform)
• Experiencesupportingremotefieldpersonnel
• Experienceresearchingtechnicalissuesandfindingbestfitresolutions
• Familiaritywithnetworkingfundamentals(DNS,DHCP,TCP/IP,firewalls,VPN)
• Demonstratedabilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithpeersandalllevelsofmanagement.
• Stronginterpersonal,written,andoralcommunicationskills.
• Abilitytopresentideasinauser-friendlylanguage.
• Comfortableworkingwithalllevelsoftheorganization.
• Strongorganizationalskillsanddemonstratedabilitytobedetailoriented.
