Senior IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Engineer
Our client, an innovative and rapidly growing company in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a Senior IT & Cybersecurity Engineer to play a critical role in designing, securing, and scaling enterprise technology infrastructure. In this role you will work at the intersection of IT operations, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and AI governance , supporting a business committed to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including risk assessments, incident response, vulnerability management, and security architecture
- Manage M365, networking, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, identity management, and SaaS integrations
- Deploy and support enterprise security technologies including endpoint protection, SIEM, firewalls, and cloud security solutions
- Develop security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks
- Partner with business leaders to align technology strategy with organizational objectives
- Drive adoption of AI technologies while establishing governance and security best practices
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and end-user education across the organization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in hands on IT infrastructure and cybersecurity roles.
- Strong hands on experience supporting Windows/365 environments and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience deploying Defender among other security applications
- Experience with networking, identity management, endpoint security, backup, disaster recovery, and security operations
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies
- Familiarity with AI-enabled security tools, enterprise AI platforms, and emerging AI governance frameworks
- Experience managing an outsourced/MSP relationship is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS, Microsoft, or equivalent are a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across technical and executive teams
