Senior Information ArchitectWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Architect to join a prestigious client located in Washington, DC. This role demands a strategic thinker with an in-depth understanding of information architecture, particularly within the realms of business continuity and mission-critical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the quality of information flow, defining data domains, and ensuring that our systems' information architecture supports the overall business objectives.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders to drive operational excellence and resiliency in metadata and control.Responsibilities:Conduct interviews with stakeholders to capture the current information flow and define Business Domains, Sub domains, Data Domains, and other relevant categories.Develop comprehensive information models (Level 0, 1, 2, 3, etc.) that reflect the data-driven flow perspective for mission-critical and business continuity systems.Identify and analyze gaps in the information flow among systems and work collaboratively with service or application owners to bridge these gaps effectively.Initiate and lead a program of continuous and sustainable improvement in information quality across all major systems, ensuring that high standards are maintained.Collaborate and partner with technology teams, architects, and other key stakeholders to drive innovative solutions that provide ongoing operational excellence and resiliency to metadata and control.Ensure that the information architecture aligns with the organization's strategic goals and supports efficient and effective decision-making processes.Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for information architecture and data management, contributing to the overall improvement of system integration and performance.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure that the organization's information architecture remains cutting-edge and competitive.Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on the importance of robust information architecture and its impact on business operations.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented solutions, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes and enhance system reliability.Must-Have Skills/Experience:Proven experience in building on Lakehouse Architecture with Databricks, showcasing the ability to leverage modern data platform technologies effectively.Strong track record in designing and implementing future-state architecture, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to information management and system integration.Expertise in developing information models and improving information flow within complex organizational structures.Exceptional ability to identify and resolve gaps in information flow, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Solid understanding of data-driven flow perspectives for mission-critical and business continuity systems.Proficiency in leading continuous improvement programs focused on information quality and operational excellence.Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with technology teams, architects, and key stakeholders to drive impactful solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex information architecture concepts to diverse audiences.Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in information architecture and data management.
