Position OverviewThis role supports Burlington Stores Supply Chain organization by leading and contributing to initiatives that improve productivity, reduce operating expenses, maximize throughput, and enhance workplace safety through data-driven reporting and analysis. Serving as Burlington Stores subject matter expert in labor management, the position provides guidance and policy recommendations to Distribution Center (DC) leadership across a national logistics network. The role partners closely with DC operations leadership and supports complex, cross-functional projects and ad hoc assignments aligned to business objectives. Responsibilities may periodically require night or weekend work based on operational needs. The position leverages expertise in standard data and predetermined time systems, statistical analysis, operations research, line balancing, material handling systems, and cost justification, with preferred experience in SQL, BI/reporting tools, Manhattan Associates supply chain solutions, and Dematic WCS functionality.A Day in the LifeLead and execute the development and maintenance of accurate and effective engineered standards through time and frequency studies.Assist in management of the productivity clerical team.Define and maintain “Best Methods” for all job functions across all Shifts including training of management and hourly workforce on productivity and work methodsAnalyze, implement, and document enhancements to existing work methods, flows, and processes to increase throughputPropose and test new concepts to improve the flow and setup in the distribution centersIdentify, propose, and develop improved operational and key metrics reportingCollaborate with operations to create and build tactical and strategical tools to meet business objectives.Support the design and implementation of material handling equipment incorporated into existing, new, and expanded network buildingsSupport capital projects when required with cost justification (Return on Investment), cost/benefit analyses, and implementationSupport business objectives for expense and throughput improvement initiatives through needs assessment, work methods flow analysis, recommendations, and project implementation.Use appropriate project management tools to plan, develop, and coordinate the completion of assigned tasks and deliver quantifiable results.Work effectively with external resources (consultants and contractors) to ensure collaborative partnerships to meet business requirementsProvide guidance to less-senior engineers and be versed at team education, training and facilitation of engineering principles.Compensation Range: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00You'll Come With4+ years of experience in projects related to process and material handling systems design, work measurement, productivity improvement, cost reduction and project implementationBS Industrial Engineering requiredAbility to work independently with little direct supervisionExperience with work measurement methodologies and tools with an emphasis on time study expertiseExperience in best methods development and implementationExperience in the development and maintenance of a management observation programExperience in the development and maintenance of an accountability programExperience with productivity tracking, data collection systemsExperience with Standard Data and Predetermined Time SystemsExperience performing cost analysis for project justificationStrong ability to gather, analyze and interpret information and develop, recommend, and implement solutions while maintaining budgetEffective communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving skillsExcellent PC skills – Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, VisioExcellent interpersonal skillsPreferred:Six Sigma Green or Black BeltProject ManagementCome join our team.
