Senior Human Resources GeneralistWe are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. This role is a key partner to leadership and employees, playing a critical role in ensuring a positive employee experience while supporting business objectives through effective HR partnership, process execution, and continuous improvement.Responsibilities Include:Employee Relations:Lead and conduct employee relations investigations from intake through resolutionPartner with leaders to address complex workplace issues and ensure fair, consistent outcomesRecommend and document appropriate corrective actionsUse HR data, trends, and insights to guide decisions and recommendationsManager Coaching & Development:Coach managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee engagementProvide guidance on handling sensitive employee issues and applying company policiesSupport development of leadership capabilities through training and ongoing coachingHR Programs & Compliance:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO)Support audits and maintain accurate HR documentation and reporting (EEO-1, OSHA, etc.)Help maintain and improve HR policies and proceduresHRIS & Process Improvement:Maintain accurate employee data and reporting within the HRISAnalyze HR data and generate insights to support business decisionsPartner with HR Systems to enhance HRIS functionality and processesTraining & Team Development:Identify training needs and deliver programs focused on employee relations, compliance, and leadership skillsDevelop practical tools and resources for managersMentor junior HR team members and contribute to overall team capabilityAdditional Responsibilities:Oversee fiscal year-end HR processes, including personnel changes and system updatesSupport HR projects and process improvement initiativesSupport job evaluation and career progression frameworksRequired Qualifications:7+ years of progressive HR experience (or a minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist at Hamamatsu), with strong expertise in employee relations and investigationsProven ability to independently conduct investigations and advise on complex employee mattersStrong experience coaching managers and influencing decision-makingSolid understanding of employment laws and HR best practicesExperience working with HRIS systems and using data to drive decisionsExcellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesPreferred Qualifications:8–10+ years of HR experience in a generalist or HRBP roleExperience with job evaluation, job architecture, and compensation practicesHR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI)Experience supporting HR systems or process improvementsPay Range:The target base salary for this role at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 - $120,000 annually.
