- Own and continuously improve HR programs including new hire experience, leave management, internal mobility, offboarding, and field employee support
- Partner with HR Operations Specialists and Administrators to identify experience gaps and build consistent organizational solutions
- Support L&D program enhancements, ROOT program facilitation, and training program design
- Identify patterns and provide recommendations to the HR Operations Manager for L&D improvements
- Recommend improvements to payroll processes, benefits programs, and HR service delivery
- Lead and mentor junior HR Operations roles
- Create, administer, and improve core training for HR Operations policies, procedures, systems, and tools
- Own compliance programs including state-specific compliance calendars, ACA eligibility tracking, and HR data governance standards
- Lead process standardization, documentation, process reviews, and workflow improvements across HR Operations programs
- Recommend policy improvements supporting process standardization
- Conduct structured quarterly reviews and present findings and recommendations to the HR Operations Manager
- Maintain and improve the HR intranet and ensure self-service content, forms, and policies remain current and accessible
- Own the contingent workforce program, including contract tracking, vendor relationships, audits, and escalation management
- Manage HR vendor contracts, track renewals, monitor performance, and escalates service issues
- Build and maintain the HR Operations metrics dashboard
- Analyze and distribute operational reporting and recommend workflow improvements
- Produce headcount reporting, regulatory filing support, and ad hoc reports
- Track, analyze, and report ticket volumes, SLA adherence, audit findings, and program outcomes
Requirements
- 4–6 years of HR operations experience with demonstrated program ownership or project management responsibility
- Strong Workday HCM experience
- Familiarity with Workday reporting, data governance, and configuration
- Experience building or managing HR programs from design through steady-state operation
- Strong analytical and data skills, including pulling, interpreting, and presenting HR data
- Knowledge of state and federal compliance requirements, particularly California employment law, FMLA, ADA, and ACA
- Strong process orientation focused on repeatable and scalable operations
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to translate operational data into clear leadership summaries
- High degree of professional judgment and comfort operating in ambiguous situations
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required, or a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
- PHR/SPHR or equivalent experience is a plus
- Ability to perform physical duties including sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
