Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Review inpatient cases for clinical quality, documentation accuracy, and appropriateness of care.
  • Identify unclear, complex, or unusual cases using sound clinical judgment.
  • Provide clear feedback and explain the reasoning behind review decisions.
  • Document findings clearly and support decisions with clinical standards when needed.
  • Help improve guidelines and review standards used for AI training.
  • Collaborate with the project team to resolve difficult cases and questions.
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality review standards.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with 10+ years of attending-level hospitalist experience.
  • Experience in inpatient quality, quality assurance, clinical documentation review, medical auditing, or hospital quality assurance processes.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make clear decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading or contributing to inpatient quality, documentation improvement, coding, or QA programs is preferred.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment.

Work Terms

  • Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

  • $70 to $100 per hour.
