Senior Structural Engineer
In this role you will serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering, resolving complex problems, and planning and developing projects. You will also serve as a project manager on larger projects, supervise medium to large staff, and perform other duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexity.
- Possess strong analytical skills including dynamic analysis, non‑linear analysis, and deep foundation design.
- Use software such as ETABS, SAFE, Perform 3D, RAM Structural System, and Ensoft.
- Plan and develop projects or design activities.
- Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
- Serve as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not the sole focus of the position.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural emphasis.
- 10+ years of OSHPD / HCAI experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building design.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
- Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software.
- Experience in design calculations and layouts.
- Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and wood.
- Requires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis.
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
