Your role will involve managing electronic pre-press functions, designing internal and external publications, and creating professional graphics for marketing materials including packaging, brochures, advertisements, and multimedia presentations. You will also produce high-quality comps, photographs, and illustrations when needed.Collaboration with external vendors and agencies to meet project deadlines and maintain printing quality standards is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, you will provide support to the Marketing team and other departments on special projects and copywriting tasks. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential in delivering visually appealing and effective design solutions for our marketing initiatives.Major Responsibilities/ActivitiesGraphic Design & ProductionDevelop professional packaging mechanicals and layouts for company publicationsCreate professional designs and layouts for promotional materials including direct mailings, handouts, advertisements, lobby posters, signs, commercial logos, and other visual layoutsCreate layouts and designs for specific product brochuresDetermine style, technique, and medium best suited to product promotion strategiesAssist in writing copy as necessaryDesign graphics for the company website in collaboration with IT personnelPerform typesetting for forms and publicationsMaintain and conform to product graphic standardsCreate high-quality comps and samples and direct vendors when necessary to provide sameEnsure graphic design activities and written materials support the image and vision of the marketing plan, and conform to regulatory, legal, and other standardsCross-Functional CollaborationConsult with other departments to develop graphic designs and advertising materials that support strategic objectives for new product linesWork with the marketing team on the inception and development of creative ideas and concepts related to promotional campaigns.
Provide suggestions, ideas, and support to area personnel. Resolve questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteouslyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Art, or a related field, or equivalent field experience3-5 years of experience in graphic design or related areaProficient in graphic design and publishing softwareUnderstanding of pre-press processes including color techniques, digital file formats, document set-up, typesetting rules, and printing options and techniquesKnowledge of commercial and fine art illustrations, digital image editing, and website designKnowledge of principles and techniques of graphic drawing and photographyAbility to create high-quality comps and samples as neededAbility to travel up to 5% via car, plane, or railLanguage SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
