Senior Gis Dba (Enterprise Gis)Location: Hybrid – Golden, ColoradoWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gis to support and enhance our enterprise Gis environment. This role combines advanced spatial analysis, enterprise geodatabase management, and Gis application development with a strong emphasis on automation, data integrity, and system architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Esri technologies, strong Python scripting skills, and experience designing, maintaining, and automating complex Gis data workflows.
This position also plays a leadership role, providing technical guidance, coordinating contractors, and supporting project planning and execution.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, design, develop, and maintain complex geographic databases and feature datasetsCreate, manage, and maintain enterprise geodatabases (ArcSDE)Ensure data structure, integrity, quality, and interoperability across systemsPerform database updates, edits, and corrections as requiredDesign, develop, and maintain Gis automation solutions using Python (ArcPy/API)Develop ETL processes using FME for data conversion and integrationIndependently evaluate and program software applications to automate Gis data capture, conversion, and maintenanceDebug, test, and optimize Gis-related code and workflowsDetermine data conversion algorithms and application/data architectureTroubleshoot Gis data, processing, and integration issuesDesign and deliver programmatic solutions for internal and external map and data requestsReview and validate spatial data from government agencies and private contractors for accuracy and consistencyPerform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on spatial data using both manual and automated methodsCoordinate the work of external contractors and suppliers to meet project objectivesProvide technical guidance and recommendations to management and stakeholdersDevelop processes, procedures, schedules, and documentationAssist with preparing draft project budgets and monitoring budget complianceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Gis, Geography, or a related field5–8 years of progressive experience in Gis analysis, enterprise Gis, or Gis developmentExpert proficiency with Esri products, including:ArcGIS Desktop / ArcGIS ProArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal)ArcGIS OnlineAdvanced experience with:Enterprise geodatabases (ArcSDE)SQL and spatial databasesPython scripting (ArcPy, Gis APIs)FME for ETL and data integrationStrong understanding of Gis data architecture, automation, and system designProven ability to work independently and make technical decisionsPreferred QualificationsExperience leading Gis projects or mentoring junior staffBackground working with government agencies, utilities, or large enterprise Gis environmentsStrong communication and documentation skills
