Learn more about the benefits of joining Team UES and our core values at careers.teamues.com.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer to lead and support geotechnical engineering projects for transportation, commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure developments.

This position is responsible for managing projects from proposal through completion, performing advanced geotechnical analyses and design, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining client relationships.The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, project management capabilities and experience delivering high-quality geotechnical solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage geotechnical and materials testing engineering projects including scope, budget and client coordination.Plan and oversee subsurface investigations, drilling programs, laboratory testing, and field exploration activities.Perform and review geotechnical analyses and engineering design for: Shallow and deep foundationsRetaining wallsPavement designEmbankments and slope stabilityGround improvement systemsPrepare and review geotechnical, materials testing engineering reports, proposals, and technical specificationsPerform geotechnical analyses including foundation design, settlement analysis, slope stability, earth retention systems, and ground improvement solutionsConduct field inspections and site visits to monitor geotechnical construction activitiesCoordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and other engineering disciplinesMentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, field staff, and project teamsSupport business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client relationship managementEnsure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and safety protocolsReview project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful project completionOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred)10+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license requiredDemonstrated expertise in engineering design, project management, and client interaction.Proficiency in technical software and tools used in the engineering disciplineExcellent leadership, communication, and business acumen.Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across locations.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental, or structural engineering or similar.Proficiency with various geotechnical software, such as LPILE, Geostudio or similar tools.Geotechnical instrumentation and monitoringWillingness to travel as needed for projectsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentTravel RequirementsThis position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments.
