Overview
We are seeking a Senior Geostructural Engineer to add technical expertise to our MidAtlantic team and support our growing geostructural work across the company. Candidates will have vast geostructural engineering design experience with an excellent foundation in soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering concepts, and an interest in excavation support design and earth retaining systems. This role includes a focus on contractor support, developer work, and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical excellence, exceed client expectations, and execute profitably.
- Provide technical leadership and senior oversight including as Engineer of Record.
- Participate in recruiting, integrating, and training staff.
- Coach, mentor, and supervise staff.
- Develop a networking partnership with practitioners across the company.
- Lead technical teams working across multiple offices, problem-solve, prepare plans and specifications, and meet with clients and subcontractors.
- Assist in business development activities within the practice, including developing capture strategies and preparing proposals.
- Local and regional travel expected, national travel possible.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.S. in Structural, Geotechnical, or Geostructural Engineering.
- 12+ years of professional experience in engineering consulting.
- P.E. certification.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail balanced with proven communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity and/or experience with detailed design and specification preparation.
- Adaptable to changes in workload and a fast-paced work environment.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Physical Requirements
Functional demands are predominantly sedentary with occasional standing and walking. The role requires light to moderate physical activity, such as lifting up to 20 lbs, climbing stairs, and working at a computer desk for several hours per day.
