We are seeking a senior geologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid mapping skills, geologic understanding and 10+ years’ experience in the mining sector. We are looking for someone who has drill management experience and can hit the ground running on a variety of geological projects and enjoys field work.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, master’s preferred.
- Strong, proven mapping skills are essential.
- +10 years’ experience in mining geology is preferred, with work in epithermal systems a plus.
- Drill management, target generation, 3D modelling and Arc/QGIS experience highly desired.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the US, be at least 21 years of age, and possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Field mapping and sampling.
- Data collection and geochemical analysis.
- Lead exploration projects and author geological reports.
- Collaborating on project management and strategic planning.
- Lead team meetings and provide regular updates on field progress to management.
- Collect, analyze, synthesize, and interpret complex geological data.
- Develop drill targets and implement drill programs.
- Be able to lead a team in field mapping and interpretation of structures, alteration, and lithological units for exploration target definition and development.
- Create a 3D geological-structural-alteration district model
- Ensure that high standards of on-site health, safety and environmental practices are continuously followed, meeting industry and Company standards.
