A multi-strategy investment firm with approximately $28 billion in AUM across private equity, private credit, and real estate is looking to add a Senior Fund Accountant to its finance team. This role will support fund-level accounting and investor reporting across multiple fund vehicles, working closely with the Controller and CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for fund vehicles under US GAAP
- Manage capital call and distribution calculations, waterfall analyses, and investor allocations
- Coordinate with third-party fund administrators on NAV reviews and reconciliations
- Support the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and liaising with external auditors
- Assist with investor reporting, including capital account statements and quarterly reports
- Review partnership agreements and LPA provisions to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Partner with tax team on K-1 preparation and review
- Help evaluate and improve fund accounting processes and controls as the platform scales
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of fund accounting experience, ideally across PE, private credit, or real estate fund structures
- Big 4 or national accounting firm background a plus (audit or fund services)
- CPA preferred, not required
- Strong understanding of partnership accounting, waterfall structures, and GAAP
- Experience with fund administrators (SS&C, Citco, Gen II, etc.) preferred
- Excel-strong, comfortable working with large data sets
- Team player who can work in a lean, fast-paced environment
