Job TitleThis position is with an EdTech (Educational Technology) Company downtown, Chicago. This company has been around for over 15 years, and has recently decided to refocus their innovation. You'd get a chance to lead the full-stack development efforts, and transition out an offshore development team they are currently using.
You'd have the opportunity to slowly build out a team around you, and move into a lead/management position as the team grows, while continuing to remain hands on. You'll be working closely with the UX Manager and marketing teams to bring educational innovation to life through your development efforts. There is currently 1 other mid-level developer in-house.Responsibilities- Collaborate with design, marketing and other business stakeholders to discuss feasibility of new projects- Gather requirements from business stakeholders & develop product roadmaps for new development- Play the role of tech lead and take ownership of the full SDLC- Work on a phase-out of offshore software developers, and help to transition the entire development process in-house- Lead, manage and mentor a small team of developers, by providing constructive feedback and doing code reviews- Remain hands on by providing technical architecture, coding and supporting applications yourself- Provide recommendations to the business in terms of new technology ideasRequirements- 5+ years of experience with application development using.NET Framework- Experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC or Web API 2.0 or Entity Framework 6.0- Experience with SQL Server back-end development- Experience with Angular (version 2 or higher) front-end development
